Teaching Awards @StBede's!

Congratulations to Sam Watts and Liz Kelly!

Teaching is a hugely rewarding profession and with any career journey, we all need need experts to lead the way and show us what best practice looks like!  Liz Kelly, a teacher at St Bede's Catholic Middle School does just that!

Liz has mentored new trainee teachers, she has provided support, guidance and above all has shown them the impact that teachers have on the lives of young people.  Liz was nominated by her trainees for the Mentor of the Year Award and we are delighted that she won!

We are also delighted that Sam Watts, one of the trainee teachers at St Bede's received the Sue Rossi Award.  This is an award given by Bishop Challoner Teaching School Alliance for contribution to School Life - well done Sam!

We are delighted that as a Multi-Academy we are able to provide opportunities to our staff to become mentors and to also give Trainee Teachers the experience to work in our amazing schools and witness best practice in action!
