Impressive New Library at St Thomas More

On Thursday 27th April, the newly refurbished Library was officially opened at St Thomas More Catholic First School.

The pupils and staff were joined by representatives from the local community, Academy schools and local governing body as well as the School Improvement Team to watch the official ribbon being cut.

The Library, which sits at the centre of the school has been transformed into a peaceful and calm environment with colourful walls, comfortable seating and most importantly filled with creative, diverse and inspirational books. Mrs Rooney - Headteacher - said

"This is an exciting day for our whole school, it's wonderful to see the transformation in this space.  A huge thank you to everyone across our school and wider Academy who have helped make this happen.  We cannot wait to start using and enjoying it".
