STEM in action

Schools across our Academy were delighted to be celebrating British Science Week, a week dedicated to all things STEM!

We were lucky to kick-start the week by hosting our first Family Learning Night.  The evening was hosted by The Ogden Trust and held at St Bede's Catholic Middle School, Redditch.  The theme - Forces of Nature!

Students from year 4 and year 5 had the opportunity to take part in many activities to understand better how forces work including; riding a homemade hover board, balancing balloons in mid air with Plasticine and so much more.  It was a night that was enjoyed by all.

As the week progressed our students has the opportunities learn about different vocations linked to Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.  Many of our pupils were excited by the prospect of a career in these industries and were inspired by the activities and workshops they participated in.
