On Monday 16th January a representative from each of our schools together with their teachers, gathered together at our Magnificat Hub at St Benedict’s. The aim of the day was to create a Magnificat Hymn.
The pupils were lucky to be joined by the talented Emily and Dan from One Life Music. The workshop was an opportunity for the pupils to share their views on what being part of a Multi-Academy meant to them, and to reflect on Our Lady. Some words used were, family, together, queen, faithful and hopeful. They were then able to put this all together into the first draft of a hymn, which was simply beautiful!
The participation from all the pupils that attended the workshop was wonderful, they had a great morning working collaboratively with people they had never met to produce the beginnings of something that will be used across all 17 of our schools.
Everyone is very excited to hear the final hymn!
